You can pickup the route anywhere in the loop. Lots of twisties, elevation changes, wildlife and scenery. You will swear your in the Hill Country of Fredericksburg, especially north of St.Jo on FM677. I like to take the route counter-clockwise because you get a great view before dropping off into the basin just north of St. Jo. The massive windmills a few short miles north of Muenster is a site to behold and make field very small as you ride right through them. Often remote, wooded and full of sweeping turns with Vistas that break through the tree lines giving you miles to oversee the horizon. The small towns are fun to explore the small shops and almost forgotten quaint buildings.
