this route is not marked adequatly, garmin mapsource number is 6604 and then follow 6608 to Orfu. this route lies on the western outskirts of Pecs town and follows a north direction (crosing the hills that the town is built on, amphithetric). great route among forest with high trees combined with low plantation covering the ground and especially on a bright sunny day (spring time) makes it even better as i did it. covered in hungary appr 4000km and this one is among the best if not the best
I was at the Hungaroring earlier in August for the F1 race on my Granpasso, and on the way back to Italy via Slovenia I decided to try and find this road, taking the E73 out of Budapest. It looks lovely in terms of scenery, but I couldn't find the road you talk of here. I ended up heading back up to the E71 and crossing into Slovenia. It was my first time in Hungary, and I must say I will certainly be back on my Granpasso to do much more exploring - a really beautiful place.
A very winding road from the beautiful Pecs to the lakes in Orfü. One curve follows the next. The road crosses a hill but it is not too steep.
Pecs route to Orfu, a must route in Hungary
