Just found this forum, and thought that I should give it a try. Not much going on yet but I hope that I can make good use of it :)

I am thinking about a trip in September travelling from the UK to continental Europe somewhere but haven\'t chosen a destination yet.

I like mountains, scenery and some fun roads to go on.

That probably also depends on the kind of bike you have and how many miles you enjoy riding each day and total length of trip, budget etc.

Imagining that you prefer say max 400 miles per day, and average prices, for a week I would recommend the mountainous Alsace region of France, or for 10 days you could take a ferry to Santander in Spain then explore the beautiful Picos and Pyrenees in Northern Spain a bit.

Both are wonderful, Northern Spain offering in general warmer and more consistent weather.

I live about halfway to the Alsace when travelling from the UK, so feel free to look me up if you like the sound of the Alsace and want to break up the trip.
