This loop is a favorite for all riders, its got the whole package for the cruisers and the speedy whippets. I start this route at Lossiemouth but it can be started at Elgin its just one road that i love that youll miss out, its good for warming up for the tyres. Head west on the A96, once past fochabers follow signs for the coastal route (West) through some gorgeous towns with great views, Cullen is a favorite for me. Once at Banff you head south towards Huntly and then Dufftown and the caingorms, it is an A road but different to A roads in England, only a couple of very short spells of duel-carriageway and the rest is tight corners with rises and falls to keep you on your game. Warning, police like to sit in Aberlour as you hit the 30 zone, otherwise its all good! When you reach the mecca that is Grantown-On-Spey then you head north on the route which will take you to Nairn or Forres, take your pick when the road forks, they are just as good as each other. Watch out before the road forks, full of humps on a long straight and its all to easy to clock flying hours if your giving it some. Once at your chosen town turn right on the A96, this will soon get boring to try taking the left at the roundabout towards RAF Kinloss, great curvey roads that will take you the back roads to Lossiemouth. Taa Dah!! Let me know what you think.
