Take the B5285/B5286 to Ambleside and back down the A591 to windermere. B5285/B5286 VERY tight and VERY blind, but good fun! Give the tourist season a miss though
Fantastic route. Big long straight sections at either end and the road down the canyon to Alacala del Jucar is stunning. Hairpins all the way.
not a very long ride, but after you have had a look round watton, take this route to swaffham, there are a few tight bends, a few 30's on the way, you might come across a plod on a bike but, he will be doing the same as you, going for a blat to swaff...
ehemalige Bergrennstrecke, am Wochenende gesperrt. Achtung schwierige Lichtverältnisse.
Much of this is very tight with virtually mo run-off and frost damaged surface. The views however are truly spectacular and on a clear day won't fail to impress. The combination of forests and geological features make for a great contrast, road surfa...
Loads of hazards, campers, horses, pigs, sheep and some awesome barrierless sheer drops off the side of the road directly, Difficult to ride fast but still lots of hairpins and a wonderful experience.
It's an Roman empire road (Flaminia) very fast and very dangerous. But it's popular. Only for streetfighters (but Civita Castellana and Narni are nice).
One for BIG TRAILY'S. This is the old D29 military road. Dirt track up the mountain and through the tunnel at the top and down the other side. Nothing too demanding for a large trail bike but pick a dry day. Great views and more challenging than tar...
My favourite bike to do this road on is the firm's MT03. Depending on the time of year you ride - this can be a terrificly scenic road. You ride down with the Pyrenees on your left - in the colder months of the year the resolution on the mountains is...
Dramatic Views and crazy technical switchbacks
Seriously frantic, busy (in June) and narrow. Incredible geological landscape rising out of the ground, so great views. Lots of other traffic can cause problems on this quite demanding technical pass, frequently oncoming vehicles will come onto your ...
A weirdly and strangely addictive fast urban section with a good surface although there are obviously plenty of hazards. If tackled at a quiet time of day (sunday afternoon was when we rode it) It can be quite good.
