Hi
Im planning a trip from the UK to Bulgaria possibly the beginning on July this year and taking 3 weeks to complete, there will be a minimum of 3 bikes, 1 GSA and 2 R1200R, the first part from the UK to France will be by Eurostar so no problems there.
I have done a route planner with several sites and they more or less give you the same route, through Belgium, Germany, Austria, Hungary and Serbia, but I was wondering if anyone has done a similar trip but with different routes and countries as an alternative to the one mentioned - if so any information would be appreciated along with must visit places on route and any tips on places not to visit.
best regards Jim
Hi Jim
One alternative which immediately springs to mind is to take Belgium, Germany, Poland, Czech, Slovakia then through Romania down into Bulgaria.
I have drawn a rough overview on the map below.
I have not done the bulgarian part of this route and it does of course rather depend on what you.like.to do and see but the Tatras and Transylvania are lovely as well.as there being sole opportunities to see some of the best eastern european cities along the way.

thank you David, its a possibility and hopefully I may get a few more alternatives
